Update 1 (November 1, 2023)

04:00 pm (IST): The issue where the ‘Bedtime mode’ was not enabling when charging the phone at night has already been fixed.

Original story follows:

Bedtime mode is a feature available on Google Pixel smartphones that helps users get a better night’s sleep by reducing distractions and promoting a calming bedtime routine.

The mode offers options for setting a bedtime routine, such as playing soothing sounds and turning on Do Not Disturb, which silences incoming calls and notifications.

With its user-friendly interface and customizable settings, Bedtime mode on Google Pixel smartphones is a great tool for anyone looking to improve their sleep and overall well-being.

However, Google Pixel users are facing a new issue using the Bedtime mode after the February patch.

Anyone else with that issue on a 7 pro after the Feb. update? If I switch to “schedule” it works. Phone is plugged in and charging.

Scheduled bedtime mode not turning on
Hey!
After working fine since I got my Google pixel 6a about 6 months ago, bedtime mode is not turning on as scheduled.
Does anybody else have this problem / know how to fix it?

Activating Bedtime mode reduces the screen’s brightness and mutes notifications to help you have a night of uninterrupted sleep. But after the February patch, it’s not working as intended.

The issue has been reported on various forums, including Google Support, Reddit, and Google Issue Tracker.

On Reddit, there have been several posts regarding the issue, with many users reporting that the bedtime mode is not turning on while charging.

Google Pixel 7, 6, 6a, and other devices based on user reports, are affected by the issue.

The issue has been escalated by a Google Employee via the Google issue tracker but Google has not yet provided an ETA for a fix, but users are hoping that a solution will be released soon.

The bedtime mode is an important feature for many Google Pixel users, as it helps them maintain a healthy sleep schedule and reduce the impact of technology on their sleep.

The problem with the bedtime mode not working properly is not only causing inconvenience but also affecting the sleep quality of users.

We hope Google takes note of the issue and provides a solution as soon as possible.

Until then, please keep tabs on this story as we will update it with further developments, if any.
