In addition, the phone will feature 128GB or 256GB of storage, 12GB of RAM, and 27W wired fast charging technology.

And by looking at reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10), it appears that some Pixel fans and potential buyers are disappointed with the slow charging speed on the upcoming Pixel 8 Pro units.

Notably, numerous Chinese smartphone makers have been pushing the bounds of charging speed with handsets that enable up to 45W charging and, in some cases, over 100W charging.

But sadly, leading phone manufacturers like Samsung and Google have not made significant strides in this aspect.

Still, the Pixel 8 Pro’s 4,950mAh battery and 27W wired charging speed is indeed a bump over its predecessor.

The Pixel 8 will still be limited to only 27W charging yet again. What is it with Google and slow charging? Come on, your competitors have been running laps around you for years.

However, when compared to other flagship devices, like the OnePlus 11 or Xiaomi 12 Pro, which support 100W and 120W wired charging respectively, the charging speed of the upcoming phone seems relatively modest.

As a result, several Google Pixel fans have expressed dissatisfaction with the device’s charging capabilities.
