Google Pixel enthusiasts in France using Free Mobile can finally buy the Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro and even the budget-friendly Pixel 7a officially in the country without having to resort to the Google Store. This makes Free Mobile the latest telco in the country to officially carry Google Pixel phones alongside Orange, Bouygues Telecom, SFR and RED by SFR.

The first hint of the Pixel 8 coming to Free Mobile dropped last month when the carrier appeared among the list of retailers participating in the phone’s promotion in France. But it’s only until a couple of weeks ago that the carrier added weight to this hint with a post on X suggesting it was only a matter of time before the Pixel 8 becomes available through the telco.

True to their word, not only is the Pixel 8 available on Free Mobile alongside its Pro sibling. But the budget-friendly Pixel 7a is also available for purchase on the carrier. The Pixel 8 is available in 128GB and 256GB storage options, but only the former gets all three color variants while the latter is only available in Obsidian. The base model costs €829 ($909) if buying in cash, but there are offers you can take advantage of to lower the price by €110 ($120). With Free Flex, you can also pay €249 ($273) upfront followed by 24-month installments of €19.99 ($22) per month. The Pixel 8 is available to purchase from the official Free Mobile online store using this link.

The Pixel 8 Pro, on the other hand, is available for €1,129 ($1,238) in cash. But you can also get it through monthly installments of €24.99 ($27) per month for 24 months alongside an upfront fee of €429 ($470) for the base 128GB variant. There’s also a 256GB variant, but unlike the vanilla Pixel 8, you only get the Pro variant in Obsidian regardless of the storage option. If interested, here’s the link to the official store.

For those running on a budget, the Pixel 7a is available in one color variant (Charcoal) and it can be yours for €539 ($591) in cash or €101 ($110) upfront followed by 24 monthly installments of €15.99 ($18). You can buy the Pixel 7a from Free Mobile using this link.

With the launch of the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, Google expanded the global availability of its line of phones to four European markets namely Austria, Belgium, Portugal, and Switzerland. In total, the Pixel 8 is sold in 14 markets across Europe but mainly through the Google Store, so it’s great to see more 3rd-party retailers come on board in official capacity.
