Google Pixel 8 series gets spring price cuts in France

Google itself has started spring discounts on the Pixel 8 series through the Google Store in France. However, several French retailers are also offering price drops and additional bundled promotions, making this a perfect time to consider a Pixel 8 or 8 Pro purchase.

Fnac offers the Pixel 8 128GB variant at €699 ($762), with the 256GB version available for €759 ($827). While the Pixel 8 Pro starts at €969 ($1,056) for the 128GB model across all color options – Porcelain, Obsidian, and Bay. Prices increase incrementally for higher storage capacities, reaching €1,169 ($1,274) for the top-of-the-line 512GB Obsidian variant.

In addition to the discounted pricing, Fnac is incentivizing bundled purchases. Customers who buy a Pixel 8 or Pixel 8 Pro alongside the new Pixel Watch 2 can receive a €150 ($163) cashback reward. Similarly, purchasing Pixel Buds Pro with a Pixel 8 or 8 Pro qualifies for a €100 ($109) cashback offer.

Rakuten offers the most aggressive discounts on the Pixel 8 Pro. Their prices start at a reduced €789.99 ($861) for the 128GB variant, representing a substantial 28% markdown from the original price. The 256GB Obsidian model is available at €898.99 ($980), while the Bay and Porcelain color options are a little expensive at €929 ($1013) and €936 ($1020) respectively. The top-tier 512GB model maintains its €1,169 ($1274) price tag.

Unlike Rakuten or Fnac, Boulanger does not offer a direct discount on the Pixel 8 series. Both the Google Pixel 8 128GB variant’s Obsidian and Rose color options are available for €689 ($751), with the Hazel color variant priced identically. They also maintain the original €969 ($1056) starting price for the Pixel 8 Pro 128GB model across all colors, with the 256GB Obsidian variant reaching €1019 ($1111).

However, Boulanger does compensate for the lack of discounts with an enticing bundled offer. They provide a cumulative €150 ($163) discount when purchasing a Pixel Watch 2 alongside a Google Pixel 8 or 8 Pro in France. They also offer a €150 ($163) redemption bonus in the cart. This offer is valid till March 31.
