Update 1 (December 18, 2023)

05:50 pm (IST): By looking at the recent reports, it appears that some Pixel 7 users are experiencing call drops even after installing the December 2023 update. Not even swapping the old SIM card with a new one could help resolve the problem.

Original story follows:

The recently launched Pixel 7 series is filled with efficiency-enhancing Google intelligence.

The newest Android smartphones also bring some noteworthy hardware and software-related updates.

However, we recently highlighted how multiple Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro users reported cellular connectivity issues.

According to reports, Pixel 7 devices are abruptly dropping both incoming and outgoing calls.

Those affected have tried disabling 2G and automatic network selection but to no avail.

The issue is quite alarming as Pixel 7 users may potentially find themselves helpless during emergency situations as the calling feature appears to be an unreliable one.

Potential workaround

Google hasn’t said anything about the issue where Pixel 7 keeps dropping calls every now and then.

However, we have come across a workaround that can help fix the issue. You can check it out in the screenshot attached below:
