Tired of staring at a blank note when you need to make a list? Google Keep on your Pixel and other devices is about to get a whole lot smarter with the addition of its ‘Help me create a list’ feature, powered by the advanced Gemini AI model.
This new feature, spotted by 9to5Google, takes the hassle out of creating those essential lists. Whether you’re scrambling to make a grocery list before heading to the store, jotting down tasks for a project, or figuring out what to pack for your vacation, Gemini’s AI will jumpstart the process for you. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen the feature though. It made an appearance back in December and is now being tested.
You’ll find a new ‘Help me create a list’ button floating in your Google Keep app. Simply tap it and tell the AI what kind of list you need help with. Be as specific as you like. Using Gemini’s intelligence, the feature generates an initial list of relevant items based on your prompt. You can easily add your own items, remove anything unnecessary and then insert the list directly into your Keep note.
The beauty of this feature is that the Gemini AI can tailor lists based on your needs. Going on a road trip with the family? Specify the details, and the AI will suggest items specific to traveling with kids. Planning a solo camping adventure? Let the AI know, and it will adjust the list accordingly.
Since the AI is still learning, keep in mind that human reviewers may take a look at your interactions with the feature to improve its performance. Avoid including any sensitive information in your early lists. As mentioned above, the feature is still being tested and it’s unclear how long it’ll take for Google to begin rolling it out for everyone.
Google Keep joins a growing list of Google services enhanced by the power of Gemini. This list-building feature, along with the ‘Help me write’ option in Gmail, are leading the way in bringing the convenience of this powerful AI model directly to your mobile devices.
