Google released the February 2024 patch for Pixel Watch units running Wear OS 4 today, bringing critical security patches to your wrist companion. While new features are absent this time, keeping your watch secure is vital, and this update ensures you’re protected against the latest threats.

This update focuses solely on security, bringing your Pixel Watch to the February 5, 2024 security patch level. It’s rolling out with the build number TWD9.240205.001 and should arrive on your device over the next few days if you’ve not received it already. Here’s the short changelog:

  • What’s Included
    • The February 2024 software update includes the latest security patches for Pixel Watch users.

If you aren’t willing to wait for the OTA update, you can try out this quick “hack” to force download the update. Go to Settings > System updates > and tap the watch icon consecutively about 25-30 times. You should also have your Pixel Watch on charging for the update process to initiate.

Alternatively, you can download the update package for your Google Pixel Watch here. That being said, Google has also released the February update for eligible Pixel smartphones too with a few fixes and improvements to device security.
