A string of code seen in the Google app suggests that the company might be ready to launch Bard Advanced soon, however, you’ll have to pay to use it on your Pixel phone or any other Android device for that matter. The code in the Google app was spotted by AssembleDebug who highlighted it with a post on X.

As seen in the screenshot, if you engage Bard Advanced for a task, you’ll see a message saying “This conversation was created with Bard Advanced. Subscribe to Bard Advanced on the web to continue this conversation.” The tipster also notes that some advanced features won’t be available on the Google app and users will have an option to turn on or off Bard Advanced.

The exact pricing and availability of Bard Advanced are not yet known, but it is likely that it will be tied to Google One, Google’s cloud storage and subscription service. A previous code discovery suggested that Bard Advanced may be offered as a perk for Google One subscribers, depending on their tier.

Google One offers different plans ranging from 100 GB to 30 TB of cloud storage, along with other benefits such as VPN, photo editing, and phone backup. The prices vary from $1.99 to $299.99 per month, or from $19.99 to $2,999.99 per year.

It is not clear whether Bard Advanced will be available for all Google One tiers, or only the more expensive ones. However, it is possible that Google may offer a free trial period for Bard Advanced when it launches. While Google hasn’t yet made any official statement regarding the availability of Bard Advanced as a paid service on Pixel phones or other Androids, the addition of the string of code is an indication that it’s coming soon.
