Updating to the latest Google app destroys the voice call functionality of my LG G7 ThinQ. I cannot make or receive calls while the latest version of the app is installed, and I have to revert to an older version to restore call functionality. Everything else works fine, including text messages and mobile data.

Horrible. The lastest update broke my phone. It’s a new issue with LG phones where it makes so you are unable to make or receive calls. I uninstalled updates for Google. Whenever I have other updates and go to do them manually, Google also updates automatically. It’s very annoying to have to keep go…

On Google Support, a product expert instantly replied that he has forwarded the issue to the Google Search team for further investigation. And the Google Search team responded back with a solution.
