This leak suggests two things. First, that Google is preparing its software for the new phone’s launch, which is expected later this year. Second, it offers a glimpse into what users might experience during the initial setup of their Pixel 9. While the fresh code spotted in the Google app reveals code related to the setup wizard on the Pixel 9, it doesn’t provide any groundbreaking details about the phone itself. There’s also no mention of the rumored “Pixie” assistant, which was speculated to be a new, offline-focused assistant for Pixel devices.
While Google remains tight-lipped about Pixie, the Pixel 9 launch could bring more information about this potential addition to the Pixel ecosystem.
