If you are into third-person tactical shooting games, chances are high you must have heard about Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon series.

Developed by Ubisoft Paris and Ubisoft Milan, Ghost Recon Wildlands is the tenth installment in the franchise.

Released in March of 2017, the game is set in the South American country of Bolivia and is the first in the series to feature an open world environment. The game has sold more than 10 million copies to date.

While both players and critics have praised the game for its open-world exploration, stunning visuals, solid combat mechanics, and gunplay, some technical issues do affect players every once in a while.

That said, Ubisoft had a server outage some days ago which was fixed a few hours later. But soon after the servers came back online, Ghost Recon Wildlands players started noticing that their in-game stats were either reset, not appearing, or messed up (1,2,3,4,5).

It looks like the problem has angered many players who put hundreds of hours in the game just to lose their stats to a server problem.

Some said they tried reinstalling Ubisoft Connect, verifying game files, and restarting their system but to no avail.

Below are a few reports from Ghost Recon Wildlands players who lost their in-game stats after the recent server outage.

I haven’t touched Ghost for a few months. I have been busy with other titles and now I wanted to jump into the game. Clicking on the stats I was shocked to see that everything was reset! and I had colossal numbers in the order of thousands with practically 400h of play! All to zero. Why? Also, looking at the daily challenges, instead of giving me the description of these, it just gave me some sort of code with an @. What is happening?

Last night I was in with a few friends and remarking on what unit of measurement the “distance travelled in vehicles” was in because it was like a billion and something (are they measuring in inches?) and while I was lamenting about how stupid it was it reset to like 8000. I had almost 500 coop hours and it dropped to 1… I’d apparently only completed 1 mission too- I mean while we were looking at it.

Thankfully, Ubisoft has acknowledged the issue where some Ghost Recon Wildlands players have lost their in-game stats. However, there is no ETA for when it will be fixed.

We hope the developers soon restore the missing stats for Ghost Recon Wildlands players. If and when they do, we will be updating this space to let you know so stay tuned.
