Genshin Impact crashing on Android 12 devices after 2.5 update (workaround inside)

Genshin Impact is a popular action RPG developed by miHoYo. Launched in 2020, the game gained massive popularity in a couple of months thanks to its unique open-world environment.

Taking place in the fantasy world of Tevyat, the gameplay is based on elemental magic and requires players to frequently switch between characters. Within the first year of its release, Genshin Impact generated more than $3 billion in revenue.

Having said that, Genshin Impact players are now reporting (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) that the game is crashing on Android after the recent 2.5 update. It looks like the crash happens right after the door is closed on the loading screen.

Some say they tried generic solutions such as reinstalling the app and clearing cache, making sure there was enough free space but the game is still crashing. However, it seems to be working just fine on Android 11.

Below are some reports from Genshin Impact players who updated their game to version 2.5 and are experiencing crashes on Android 12.

Genshin please please fix this mobile bug – it seems most prevalent with the Samsung phones – I have a Samsung 10e and never had ANY issues until now – now the game force closes every time on the white elements screen.

With miHoYo yet to acknowledge the issue, many are wondering if and when they will be able to play the game once again.

Thankfully, we came across a workaround that seems to be working for some. It involves downloading APK from APKPure and installing it over the previous version.

Fix: Download and install the app from this link Note: I’m on A12, and the issue where the game will crash at the elements loading screen. you don’t have to delete the app, just install this apk file over the the existing app. This worked for me. Please reply and let me know if it worked for you.
