Forza Horizon 5 is without a doubt one of the best-looking racing video games of all time. Released on November 9 this year, it is developed by Playground Games and published by Xbox Game Studios.

Both players and reviewers have appreciated the visuals and gameplay and within just a week of its release, Horizon 5 managed to attract over ten million players worldwide.

But, as is the case with every game that came out recently, players have complained of some bugs and issues that range from mildly infuriating to game-breaking like the recent issue where players were stuck at ‘Saving Content’.

As it turns out, Forza Horizon 5 players are affected by a bug (1,2,3,4,5) that is preventing them from completing the Festival Playlist challenges. Many say that events in the playlist are broken but the game still forces them to complete it anyway.

Some even said that they lost all progress in the weekly challenges, which is really disappointing and frustrating for those affected since it takes a lot of time. Adding to the chaos, some seasonal challenges just don’t complete.

I’m trying my best to complete as many events as I can in the playlist but some seem to be broken. The treasure hunt for example doesn’t show up after completing the first riddle, and the Monthly Rivals event automatically flags my lap before the race even starts, which means I can’t get a clean lap. Is this happening to anyone else?

Don’t feel like typing everything out again, but just filed a bug ticket. Wondering if anyone else experienced this today. Progress lost progressively today on Forzathon Weekly Challenge. Completed Chapters 1-3 and race 1 of Chapter 4. Received notification when previous chapters were completed. Turned off Xbox Series X. Resumed later and proceeded to finish 3 remaining races for Chapter 4. Went to Festival Playlist. Not only was no progress shown for Chapter 4, Chapter 3 only showed 7/10 complete. Quit game, restarted. Now Weekly challenge shows zero progress.

Fortunately, Forza Support has commented on the issue and said that they are aware of the Festival Challenges issue with Horizon 5. Moreover, it looks like they are already working on a fix, but chances are pretty high it will be deployed after the Christmas holidays.

With the holidays rapidly approaching, our team is looking forward to spending some time with family and friends and hope you are doing the same. For us, this means a short pause on our ongoing development and fixes, yet rest assured, in the new year we will continue to deliver further improvements to Forza Horizon 5. For example, we’re aware that a number of players have experienced challenges on the Festival Playlist which they’ve not been able to complete. This can be frustrating to miss out on rewards or to not have that 100% completion. We’re looking into a solution for players who have experienced the issue.
