The popular online shooter Fortnite is facing heat once again as players report encountering multiple issues with the in-game Glider and Survivor medal features. Devs acknowledge the issues, and a fix is in the works.

Glider stuttering issue in Fortnite

Fortnite is one of the few online Battle Royales that has been able to reinvent the genre and provide something new to the table. From the innovative crafting system to the star-studded cameos, Fortnite is a breath of fresh air in the scene.

Another amazing feature of the game is the Glider equipment. In Fortnite, players can glide all around the map by jumping from heights. Just like the player’s appearance, the glider is also highly customizable.

However, currently, the Gliders are under severe criticism from the players, as multiple players are reporting that whenever they use the equipment, the game simply breaks. The frames drop, or the graphics start to glitch.

There are even reports of invisible walls that are preventing the players from landing on the snowy mountain tops.

[Glider bug when close to big mountains] This bug has been present (at least for me: Xbox Series X; but a friend of mine plays on PC and he has seen it too) since the first Chapter 5 update. Basically, it’s like there is a wall preventing you from moving forward when gliding near those big mountains

This issue has never been seen before, and the Glider has been a part of the game ever since its launch. Players use this equipment very frequently in their games, and due to this issue, their games are becoming more and more frustrating.

With the reports piling up, the devs soon became aware of the issue, and they shared an update. The reports are passed on to the support team, and they are investigating the issue.

Survivor medal progression bug

In Fortnite, Survivor Medals are earned by completing Survivor Quests, which require players to achieve specific placements and eliminations in matches. There are seven Survivor Medal tiers: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Exotic, and Mythic.

Each tier has ten stages that must be completed before moving to the next tier. The quests become increasingly challenging as players progress through the tiers, and the rewards include XP and the Prized Llama Back Bling, with different variants for each tier.

However, according to new reports, the players aren’t receiving XP or progressing through the challenges, making it impossible for them to complete the challenge and receive their medals.

The devs have also shared an update saying that they are aware of this issue. However, there are no further updates or release date announcements for a potential fix for the issue.
