As the latest Chapter 5 Season 1 of Fortnite introduces multiple new features and additions to the game, including a re-haul of the movement animation, these changes have sparked anger among users on social media. Here’s everything we know so far.

Why did the new movement animation angered players of Fortnite?

The new chapter has brought a lot of new things to the game, including new maps, weapons, and more. Among these changes, Epic has updated the movement animations and character details in the game.

However, these changes are considered detrimental to the gameplay experience by the players. According to multiple reports, the new ‘realistic’ movement feels slow and lacking, reportedly disrupting the ‘flow’ of the players.

Popular Fortnite content creator SypherPK expressed that the new movements feel ‘way too slow or janky at times’. Other creators and players have also shared their thoughts and speculations about the movement.

Some even claimed that there was an actual change in the movement, suggesting that Epic has merely improved the graphics and made them more realistic, creating an illusion that the character is moving slowly, which is not the case at all.

However, this theory is rejected by the players, with the majority adamant that the update has changed the animation and Epic must revert it to its original form.

So far, there is no official acknowledgment or statement available from the developers regarding this matter. Below, we have highlighted some of the main changes issued in the new chapter.
