Players of the popular online shooter game Fortnite are reporting a bug with the auto-mantle feature that is causing frequent deaths. The development team has acknowledged the issue and is currently working on a fix. In the meantime, here are some workarounds you can try.

Fortnite broken auto-mantle bug

In Fortnite, the auto-mantling mechanic allows players to automatically climb or mantle over certain obstacles without the need for manual input.

Unfortunately, the auto-mantling feature in Fortnite has been plagued by various bugs and glitches, leading to frustration among players.

Reported issues include characters being launched into the air when auto-mantling, automatic firing of weapons after mantling, and the mechanic activating even when manual control is selected.

The auto-mantling bug has caused players to unintentionally mantle into gunfire or experience unexpected movements, adversely affecting their gameplay and causing frustration. Despite the demand for a manual control option, there is currently no official setting in the game to disable auto-mantle.

Workarounds and official acknowledgment:

In a statement on Twitter, the official Fortnite support team confirmed that they are actively working on a fix for the issue and will release a patch soon.

They have also provided an update on the official Fortnite Trello board, where the status of the issue is marked as “in development.” However this card seems to be focusing on the synching issues while mantling.

Additionally, there are some community-shared workarounds available. According to one player, setting the option to mantle only while moving forward can prevent the mantle option from triggering when backing off a ledge.

However, it’s important to note that these workarounds are unofficial and there is no guarantee that they will be effective.
