LEGO Fortnite players are reporting some bugs with the metal smelter in the game. According to players, even after assigning a villager to the smelter, they are not getting anything in return. The developers are aware of the issue, and they may soon issue an update on the bug.

Metal smelter falter in LEGO Fortnite

In LEGO Fortnite, the metal smelter is a crucial tool for melting down metals like copper to make them into bars, which are essential for crafting high-quality tools and equipment.

To unlock the metal smelter, players need to reach level nine in their village. This requires gathering specific materials and increasing their village rating. The materials needed to craft a metal smelter include 15 Brightcore, 35 Obsidian Slab, and 3 Blast Core.

After successfully building a smelter, players can assign a villager to it and harvest the yields. However, according to numerous reports, even after assigning the villager, players are unable to collect the yield.

Regardless of the duration, whether hours or days, players are unable to complete their work in the smelter, and they keep stating that their work is still in progress. Frustrated by the issue, the players have sought answers from the developers.

This is not the first time players have encountered bugs. Previously, there have been reports of an absurd ‘high complexity area’ bug and the issue of weird trees growing inside the houses.

Fortunately, not everything is gloomy for the players of LEGO Fortnite. With player reports piling up, the developers soon stepped in to share some official statements to provide a resolution for the players.

According to the statement, the support team is aware of the issue, and they are currently working on a fix. There has also been an official entry on the Fortnite Trello board, indicating that a fix is ‘in development’ for the issue.
