Game streaming is the best part of Google Stadia, which means the search giant’s cloud hardware actually runs your game instead of having a powerful PC or gaming console to do the dirty work.

In a nutshell, it means you will be enjoying top-level gaming with no noisy fans around you or even no need to download the games you are playing. Even better is that Stadia players will no longer have to wait on updates and/or patches because things will be handled from the server-side.

Not long ago, Codemasters fixed a crashing issue that GRID players on Google Stadia were experiencing without rolling out any software update. Similarly, those who have been experiencing the Final Fantasy XV save bug on Stadia now have something to smile about.

We first reported about the Final Fantasy XV save bug on Stadia late last month and followed it up with a statememt from Square Enix regarding the possible availability of the fix.

Square Enix seemed unsure about if or when the save bug would be addressed, something that prompted the Google Stadia team to chime in with a statement of their own, promising to work on a fix for the bug.

As of today, the Stadia team has reverted with a confirmation that the Final Fantasy XV save bug has now been addressed. Since there is no software update/patch for this, the fix has been deployed from the server-side, just like the GRID crashing bug-fixer.

Several Final Fantasy XV players on Stadia have come out to acknowledge that indeed the save bug has been addressed. Below are some of the comments handpicked from this Reddit post.

FFXV save bug has been fixed! u/GracefromGoogle confirmed that the fix has been deployed to all users. On my end I could confirm that I had no problem on my last 3 hours of playing FFXV, after the save bug just hit me 2 days ago.

I I just play 4 hours without problem! what a pleasure !!

Good… Now I can actually play it. I actually went to refund it today and got denied only to find it is been fixed and that’s why… So that’s fine!

There seems to be some debate about who actually fixed the save bug between the Google Stadia team and Square Enix, the game developer, something I honestly feel should be a non-issue at this point.

Happy gaming!

Expect insightful articles and explorations of the ever-evolving world of Android and Google products coupled with occasional rants on the Nest smart home ecosystem.
