EA Sports recently released the Title Update 12 for FIFA 23 which addresses some known issues and introduces significant changes to the overall gameplay experience.

For instance, the patch fixes the bugs where Challenge UI is not displayed during a specific Shootout FUT Moment and earned Skill Points are not displayed in the match lobbies.

The update also addresses a stability issue that occurs when one tries to enter Pro Clubs. However, it looks like the recent update has introduced some bugs as well.

According to reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9), multiple FIFA 23 players are experiencing difficulties when playing the game as it keeps crashing on multiple occasions.

For some, it crashes whenever they try to access the in-game menus. While for others the crash happens as soon as they submit their SBC (squad building challenge).

Notably, gamers get an EC:104 error message upon crashing. It is also worth mentioning that some players are experiencing difficulties with logging in to the web app as well.

One of those affected says that after the recent update the game crashes as soon as the EA user agreement appears. They also receive error code ‘CE 108255-1’ after the crash.

On the other hand, multiple players (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) are getting ‘something went wrong with this game or app’ error message when signing in as well.

Those affected have tried restarting the game and console, uninstalling and reinstalling the game but to no avail.

However, this is not the first time that FIFA 23 players have experienced such issues (1, 2).

Luckily, the FIFA support team has officially acknowledged this issue and is currently investigating it. Although, no official ETA for the bug fix has been provided.

Fortunately, we have come across some workarounds that might help solve your problem. First of all, you can try reducing the total friend count to less than 100.

Alternatively, you can download and play the PS4 version of the game until the issue is resolved.
