FIFA 22 is the latest installment in the long-running saga of soccer simulators developed by Electronics Arts (EA). The game has been available since September of last year 2021.
EA seeks to maintain a constant player base through new content being added every week. Part of this content is the different challenges that the game offers, and the rewards that they grant.
One of the most recent challenges in FIFA 22 was the TOTY Trial SBC. But, this has been temporarily removed by EA, due to a glitch where players were unable to access the Squad Building Challenges section.
FIFA 22 players can’t access Squad Building Challenges
According to multiple reports, many FIFA 22 players were unable to access the Squad Building Challenges page/section (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13).
Every time they tried to access the section, the game just showed an error message. The problem appeared in the website, in the companion app, and in the game itself.
Anyone else can’t access SBC page on web app?
I can do everything on the web app, but when I click on the SBC page, I get an error and have to sign back in. I’ve opened as many tradeable packs as possible until my transfer list filled up. So now I can’t open packs without discarding every duplicate.
Anyone else with this issue?

Not able to access SBC section
It gives me an error everytime i try to access the sbc section on webapp companion and console… anybody else getting this? NEED to recycle upgrades!!!!!!

EA is aware, FIFA 22 SBC temporarily removed
In line with the above, the reports related to the issue quickly reached the ears of the EA FIFA team (1, 2). So, the company decided to temporarily remove the TOTY Trial SBC challenge while they investigate the bug.
Hey there, sorry for the delay getting back to your message, I’ve not yet seen mentions of a fix coming just yet, but we’re aware this frustrating issue with repeatable SBCs is happening.

Also, the company also indicates that restarting the app/game could help solve the problem when players get stuck in the section with the error.
