Far Cry 6 is the first game in the celebrated Far Cry franchise that takes place in an urban environment. The game involves uprooting the brutal dictator of the fictional island of Yara known as ‘El Presidente’.

While players have criticized the story and monotonous Far Cry campaign design, the title received praise for its stunning visuals and use of Ray Tracing.

However, frequent updates to the game often cause issues such as players not receiving AR-C after completing ‘A Little Birdie Told Me’ treasure hunt and many spawning in the ocean.

And as if that wasn’t enough, Far Cry 6 players are now reporting (1,2,3,4,5) an issue with The Vanishing mission. Many say that the game is not saving after completing the quest while others say it restarts for some reason.

So frustrating. I finished the mission, and when it went black, supposedly sending me to a final pair of cutscenes, instead it sent me back to right when the mission started at the TV. I still have the weapons gained, but the mission shows as still needing to be done. What’s worse, the stupid mission suggestion at the left side of the screen won’t disappear! Even after minor interruption via new areas discovered or mission cutscenes, it comes right back. The Vanishing was fun, but I’ve no desire to play it again, especially if the same thing happens. This is on the PS5.

The Vanishing doesn’t save mid session?? Very annoying: was playing The Vanishing and had to go mid session for some time, and figured since there’s no ‘save game’ option it’d load up my last checkpoint when I started the game up agn. However, when I came back and opened the game, my progress had been lost. Now I have to do the whole f’cking mission again?

Thankfully, Ubisoft Support Staff shed some light on the matter and said that the Far Cry 6 development team is aware of the issue where The Vanishing mission is not saving or restarting for some. However, they did not share a timeframe on when it will be resolved.

Hey there @stormelegend, thanks for taking the time to get in touch, and I am sorry to hear that you have also been affected by this problem. As kindly mentioned by my colleagues above, I want to assure you that the development team is aware of this, and they are currently hard at work looking into it.
