Arsenal may be sweating it out in the Dubai sun, but the heat on X is coming from a different source: their own fans. A recent video showcasing the Gunners’ training session, “Turning up the heat in Dubai. Shot on Google Pixel,” has ignited a mixed bag of reactions, with more firepower aimed at the team’s recent performances than their shots on goal in this latest video.

The video itself features the usual training ground fare – players dribbling, passing, and peppering the net with pinpoint accuracy. It’s all sunshine and rainbows, a stark contrast to the team’s actual form: three losses and a draw in their last four games. This, naturally, didn’t escape the eagle eyes and sharp fingers — or tongues — of the Arsenal faithful.

“Shot on Google Pixel how about some shots on target,” quipped Toni Koogs, a sentiment echoed by countless others. “You better get some shots on Target. Google Pixel won’t help you score goals,” warned one fan, while another lamented, “Shot on Google Pixel? How about some shots on target mate.”

Arsenal’s main man, Gabriel Jesus, has only netted thrice in the Premier League this season. And the yearning for a clinical finisher was palpable. “Is Google Pixel our next striker signing since it can shoot this well?” joked one supporter, while another took a dig at the transfer budget, saying, “Shot on Google Pixel. Well done to our commercial team, this will get us Mbappe.”

Not everyone went for the jugular, though. Some fans were genuinely impressed by the Pixel camera prowess, finding solace in the phone’s sharp focus even if their team lacked it on the pitch. “Okay so I’m def switching to Pixel next,” declared one, while another pleaded, “This is the phone I want Arsenal. Since you haven’t made me happy on the pitch lately, make me happy off it.”

Even non-Arsenal fans chimed in, acknowledging the Pixel’s power. “Pixel is crazy tbh,” remarked a Liverpool supporter, while a South African Arsenal fan confessed, “Can I please get one especially that 8 pro,” which is quite unfortunate since the Pixel isn’t sold on the African continent in official capacity, although you can still buy it. The Pixel’s magic was so convincing to a point that one fan refused to believe it was just a phone: “This was shot with a phone?” he queried, a testament to the camera’s capabilities.

So, while Arsenal continues to search for their scoring touch, Google Pixel has inadvertently struck gold. The training video may have reignited fan frustrations, but it also showcased the Pixel’s camera in all its glory, generating buzz and brand awareness. Now, if only Arsenal could channel that Pixel precision into their actual matches, perhaps the next video wouldn’t just be “Shot on Google Pixel,” but also “Goal. Finally.” One can only dream, right? But as a Chelsea fan, I hope Arsenal’s poor run of form continues to the very end of the season😂.
