Developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks, Fallout 76 is an online action RPG that was released in 2018. It is the first game in the Fallout franchise that is online only and does not feature a single-player campaign.

While the game sold more than 1.4 million copies within a year of its launch, many have criticized the game because of the sheer volume of bugs and issues that popped up.

Issues such as the friend list not working and black screen/stuck at loading after fast travel have affected the gameplay experience negatively.

That being said, Fallout 76 players are now reporting (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) that the infamous Vendor bug has made a comeback.

In case you didn’t know, the vendor bug allows vendors to sell a random item from your stash for a random amount of caps that other players can buy. Some players have reported losing their atom shop skins.

Apparently, Bethesda had acknowledged the problem and said that it was under investigation.

As it turns out, the Vendor bug is back now with numerous Fallout 76 players reporting that they are losing items once again.

Vendor bug has got me 3 times already in the last month or so, thankfully nothing of real value to me was sold. I’ve noticed this happens after I used the brewing station. Twice my liquid courage was added and then purchased by another player and last night all of my nuclear key cards (21 of them). I happened to me again! Right now. Added liquid c to the fermenter, checked my vendor for the glitch and it wasn’t added nor other items did couple things around my camp checked my stash and there it was on sale in my vendor 😖 it has to be the fermenter.

I’ve been playing this game since Beta and over the past year or two I’ve seen people talk about this vendor bug where people can buy stuff out of your stash for 1 cap each but I didn’t think much of it since I had never seen it first hand or know anyone that had. Well that changed a little while ago. I had just finished up the fasnacht event when I got a notification saying someone has purchased my Buffoon mask for 1 cap even tho I didn’t have it listed for sale, and certainly not for 1 cap. Im not sure if hes on Reddit or not but I would like to give a huge shout out to KamboKris for being such a stand up dude.
