Fae Farm players have reported numerous issues with the game’s co-op and multiplayer, primarily concerning dating and romancing aspects. The charming and cozy farming simulator has become a source of frustration for players due to these problems.

Players have taken to social media to share their experiences with these issues and seek potential solutions. Their efforts have yielded positive results, as their accumulating reports captured the attention of the developers.

‘co-op’ and multiplayer dating and other issues plague Fae Farm

Fae Farm is a farming simulator that can be described as a blend of Animal Crossing and fantasy RPG. From its warm and inviting visuals to its intricate co-op mechanics, many players view Fae Farm as the perfect remedy for the Animal Crossing-shaped void in their hearts.

Unfortunately, the game is currently experiencing issues with its multiplayer components, particularly the dating and romancing feature. According to player reports, it’s a ‘laggy mess’, but the most significant problem right now is that relationships are not functioning correctly. Players can give gifts, and their status with snooty fae characters increases, but they cannot go on dates.

On the other hand, one player spent 7,500 in-game currency to upgrade their character. Within a minute of docking their switch to play on the TV, they were disconnected from multiplayer. Rejoining the game, they discovered that their purchase of two nets worth 7,500 had not been saved. The game only retained the information that 7,500 had been spent, rendering it unplayable.

Players also reported losing all character progression, including levels, tools, and quests, after an update in local multiplayer. Additionally, they mentioned that their tools had disappeared, yet basic quests were marked as completed, rendering the game unplayable

Official acknowledgment of the ‘co-op’ and multiplayer issues

Official acknowledgment of the co-op and multiplayer issues has been made by the developers. In the official Discord server, one of the game’s producers shared that they are currently investigating the following issues:

  • Loss of tools for some players in multiplayer
  • Loss of items or other weird inventory behaviour in multiplayer
  • Unintended leveling up of relationships
  • Multiple spouses
  • Some aspects of the relationship system not working as intended in multiplayer
  • Animals stopping producing materials
  • Animals appearing at the wrong farm
  • Loading into a black void or in a rock near the starter farm
  • Getting into a rare state where the next chapter does not start correctly
  • Although they confirmed that they are looking into the relationship issues, it remains unclear whether this investigation will cover dating and relationships in multiplayer and co-op.

We will monitor the situation and provide updates as further developments arise.
