F1 22 is the latest installment in EA racing simulator franchise. The game has been available since the end of last month (June) on multiple consoles and platforms.

To offer extras in its games, EA offers the ‘EA Play’ paid subscription. One of the advantages of EA Play is allowing access to extended demos of the company games.

For instance, F1 22 is available to try for 10 hours if you are an EA Play subscriber. This way, you can better decide whether to buy the game after the trial.

However, according to multiple reports, some players are facing issues with the extended demo. More specifically, some EA Play subscribers are unable to access the F1 22 10 hour trial.

F1 22 ‘EA Play 10 hour Trial’ inaccessible or locked for some players

According to multiple reports, F1 22 ‘EA Play 10 hour Trial’ is missing or remains locked for some users subscribed to the EA Play service, for no apparent reason.

In some cases, players can download the F1 22 EA Play 10 hour trial, but receive a ‘Can’t use this content. To use this content, purchase it’ when trying to access.

F1 22 Ea Play trial locked

Hello, I have downloaded the F122 trial via EA Play and the EA Play logo has a lock on it. When I click on the game it says my trial has 10 hours left but when I click ok it says “Can’t use this content. To use this content, purchase it.” Any ideas?

Meanwhile, in other cases the players are even unable to download the trial.

@EAHelp @Formula1game Why has the option to download the 10 Hr trial of F1 22 been removed even though it’s present in the trial list for EA. It was available yesterday. I bought EA access specifically for the trial. Fix this ASAP

Official acknowledgment, potential workaround

The EA Sports team is already aware of the issue and working to resolve it. But there are still no specific details about the availability of the fix.

Thanks for your feedback on this. I know it’s disappointing not to be able to play the F1 22 trial so far. We’re working on a fix for this as we speak & hope to have that in place ASAP. Keep an eye on this thread for more info – https://bit.ly/3bTrI08 -Dan

In the meantime, there is a potential workaround you can try to ‘repair’ your game:

Verify the files of the game in EA Play, I did this and fixed it for me
