F1 22 is one of the popular racing video games available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. Developed by Codemaster and published by EA, it is the fifteenth addition to EA’s Formula 1 franchise.

The game was released in July 2022 and has received a positive response from gamers around the world so far. However, players have also encountered several kinds of issues since its launch.

Among them are crashing and freezing issues, FPS drop, input delay, and compatibility issues. And it appears that issues continue to pop up as F1 22 players are now reporting yet another bug with the game.

F1 22 AI straight line overpowered

Gamers now say that the AI straight-line speed in F1 22 is too fast or overpowered which is making the game unplayable (1, 2, 3, 4, 5).

EA acknowledged, but no ETA for fix

Fortunately, EA support didn’t take too long to acknowledge this issue and said that they are currently investigating it. However, they did not provide any ETA for the fix.

We hope that EA fixes the F1 22 AI straight line bug soon since its making the game unplayable.

Update 1 (August 04)

11:49 am (IST): The support team on Twitter has confirmed that the team has identified the issue with AI speed gain on the straights and they are working to bring parity between AI and players’ car performance.

The development team believes it has identified the issue regarding AI speed gain on the straights. Throttle application changes in this patch will help, and the team is working to bring parity to AI and player car performance. We will update as soon as we have more news. (Source)
