New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on March 29, 2023) follows:

The compatibility between Eufy IndoorCam and HomeBase 3 has been a topic of discussion among Eufy users for several months now.

The HomeBase 3 was released in September 2022, and Eufy confirmed that compatibility with the IndoorCam family would arrive in October, but it has since been postponed several times.

Eufy IndoorCam compatibility with HomeBase 3 postponed again

Initially, the compatibility was postponed to November, then December and later the official website was updated to reflect a March 2023 release date.

Home Base 3 compatibility has been pushed out again. What was supposed to come this month is now February.

Homebase 3 support for Indoor Cameras delayed again to March
Looking at the support page today look like it’s been delayed again from Feb to March, cba with this company they are so unreliable. But they got my money already. Lesson learnt.

However, checking the Eufy Support website now, the release date has been updated to the end of March 2023, with the IndoorCam Mini set for the end of April 2023.

Eufy users have expressed frustration and disappointment with these repeated postponements, especially considering the company’s initial promise of an October release.

The lack of proper communication from the company regarding the matter has also been a source of concern. Understandably, several users have now taken to Reddit to express their dissatisfaction with the situation.

This is so annoying. I bought the dual cam 2k doorbell a few weeks ago thinking their most up to date device would be compatible with their most up to date HomeBase hub! January was bad enough, now March! It’s a doorstop rather than a doorbell.

Some have accused Eufy of misleading them, while others have called for more transparency from the company.

It seems that some even tried contacting Eufy’s support team only to be told that the team is working on it but without any known ETA.

It is worth noting that Eufy has not released any official statement regarding the latest postponement.

Despite the frustration, some users have expressed an understanding of the situation, acknowledging that software development can be a complex process that requires time and effort to get right.

Delays happen, that does not make them “lies”. As a product owner my self, I know that expectations are high and missing deliverables is a very bad event for PR/product. Expectations are high, so clearly anything less than perfect would also sour the customer base. Would you rather have some very limited functions now? I am sure that was the choice they face.

In the meantime, Eufy users who own indoor cameras have no choice but to keep waiting for compatibility with the HomeBase 3 to arrive God knows when.

However, one thing is clear: Eufy users are eager for a resolution to this issue and are hoping for clear communication from the company in the future.

Until then, stay tuned and we’ll keep you posted as events unfold.

Update 1 (April 25, 2023)
