Elden Ring players report Blaidd & Ranni missing or not showing, potential workaround inside

Developed by FromSoftware in collaboration with the renowned fantasy writer George R.R. Martin, Elden Ring is an action RPG published by Bandai Namco Entertainment.

The open world third-person game lets players indulge in various activities such as crafting, collecting different types of weapons and magic spells.

That being said, players have reported several bugs and issues such as the game crashing on PC due to Anti-cheat while others said their runes went missing or were less after dying.

And now, Elden Ring players are reporting (1,2,3,4,5) that Blaidd and Ranni are missing or not showing up.

Many say that they have already defeated Radahn and are unable to progress in the quest since they have to talk to Ranni but she is not in her tower. Others say that Blaidd isn’t at the festival as well.

Here are some reports from Elden Ring players complaining about Ranni and Blaidd missing.

So I met with him in the Woods, didn’t know where Darwin was till later. Found Ranni’s place and see him as a Ghost and whatnot. Killed Darwin no Blaidd outside once defeated. Just went to Redmane Castle and he’s there to help fight General Rahdan. But like idk how to proceed with his original quest do I just kill the General? I tried to talking to Iji and I don’t get the Blaidd sent me prompt so I can’t get the talisman now or what? At a loss what to do now

When I go to the festival the only one there is Blaidd and potman. The dude to start the festival isn’t there and everyone has said to fix that to go talk to Ranni. The problem is when I go to Ranni’s rise, she isn’t there. The fix people say for that problem, is to kill Radahn. I can’t fight Radahn without Ranni and I can’t talk to Ranni without Radahn. Neither are available at all. Has anyone else encountered this? If so how did you fix it?

While Elden Ring developers are yet to acknowledge the issue, we came across a workaround that might help fix the problem. It looks like walking around the ruins snapping resulted in Blaidd appearing after sometime.
