EA SPORTS FC 24 players have lately been experiencing crashing issues while loading the game, scrolling through the menus, or playing matches.

EA recently launched Title Update 1 for FC 24, which mainly addresses stability problems in Ultimate Team and Clubs. Notably, these glitches have been impacting gamers ever since early access began.

However, it appears that the latest update fails to address some crashing issues.

EA SPORTS FC 24 crashing on loading, during matches or menus

As per the reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10), EA SPORTS FC 24 players are experiencing frequent crashes even after installing the recent patch.

It’s noteworthy that the bug has been affecting gamers across different platforms, including PC and consoles, for the past few days.

However, the problem is mostly prevalent on the PC version and affects players with both NVIDIA and AMD GPUs.

Those on PC generally get the ‘Direct X function “GetDeviceRemovedReason” failed with DXGI_ERROR_ACCESS_DENIED’ error when launching the game.

It further reads, ‘This error is usually caused by the graphics driver crashing; try installing the latest drivers.’. But they are unable to load the game even after updating the graphics driver and Direct X and repairing the game files.

Not even disabling the in-game overlay or setting the game’s priority to high can help one start the game.

In addition, there have been instances where players get redirected to the EA app after pressing a key in the ‘personal settings’ section.

Sadly, the game fails to load even after running it as an ‘Administrator’. Although, those who are fortunate enough to start the game also encounter occasional hiccups.

For some, the ‘Direct X function “GetDeviceReomvedReason” failed with DXGL_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG’ message appears when playing a match. For others, game exits to the desktop without any notification.

My game crashes every hour or so, I get caught in a player stats tab and can’t get out, a grey box appears abs the game freaks out and freezes I could literally go on and on and on. Surely this amount of bugs and lag has to be addressed asap?

Sadly, the problem exists even after updating the controller’s firmware and graphics driver. Interestingly, crashes happen even when one is just navigating menus or playing different game modes like Moments or Rivals.

Some believe that this happens if one overclocks their graphics card and have recommended others no to do so.

They have also suggested that one installs the all in one package for Visual C and Direct X redistributables for a potential fix.

EA FC 24 just closes the game in the middle of Rivals games. I played 3 games of Rivals and the game closed itself two times. I play from Steam on PC. The game doesn’t close itself when playingn Squad Battles, at least when I tried.

What is more disappointing is that console players cannot even enjoy the game for more than an hour.

Those on Xbox allege that the game crashes to the ‘Xbox dashboard’ while accessing the ‘Roles tab in tactics’. On the other hand, PS owners are experiencing heavy lags while accessing the in-game menus.

Official acknowledgment

An EA Community Manager has responded to the matter and asked those impacted to share their feedback. This will help the developers better understand the problem and properly investigate it.
