Apex Legends, the free-to-play FPS developed by Respawn Entertainment, constantly receives new content in the form of weapons, scenarios, bundles and more.

However, Apex Legends players seem to be experiencing a lot of trouble while trying to purchase a new bundle.

Some Apex Legends players can’t buy a bundle if they have 1 skin from that bundle

Many players are reporting (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7) their discomfort with a bug in the game that does not allow them to purchase a bundle.

For those who do not know, a bundle is a set of aesthetic elements that, together, turn the player’s character into a fully themed one.

Apex Legends players have the option to get the different skins that are part of a bundle separately. These can be obtained either as a reward for victories in certain events/missions, or by purchasing them directly.

However, it is precisely this that is causing headaches. According to reports, some Apex Legends players allegedly can’t buy a bundle if they already have a skin that is part of it. For example, a player reports the following:

I really can’t buy the bloodhound bundle or the Bangalore bundle because I have a gun skin that’s in either. I’m genuinely upset right now. This is so dumb.

‘LOCKED: Core item already owned’ error while trying to buy a bundle

The reports of the affected players indicate that, while trying to buy a bundle of which they already have one of its skins, all they get is a ‘LOCKED: Core item already owned’ error.

EA is aware, they are working on a fix

Fortunately, EA (game distributors) is already aware of the situation. They replied to one of the many reports as follows:

Hey there! Sorry for the day. I can only imagine how frustrating this must be. This is currently a known issue that our game team is currently investigating. We currently do not have an estimated time frame for when the issues will be resolved at this…bit.ly/2XOx0Dt.

The reply from the EA support team confirms that they are already working on a fix for this annoying bug. However, there is still no estimated date for the fix to arrive.

Anyway, they probably want to solve this problem fast. After all, if players can’t buy a bundle, that’s money the company won’t earn.

For now, this is all that is known about the current situation. Once there is news in this regard, we will update this article with the pertinent information.
