Apex Legends is one of the most famous e-sports games of all time. Developed by the same studio that brought us Titanfall (Respawn Entertainment), the game is published by Electronic Arts.

In April this year, the game crossed the 100 million unique players mark, which is really fascinating considering the game was released just two years ago.

Every season, Respawn Entertainment works on bringing new content and challenges to the game, which keeps the players engaged.

But this also results in the game being affected by multiple bugs and issues.

Recently, many players reported that the Ranked Arena matchmaking was broken while others complained of game penalty after disconnection.

And it seems like we have another one to add to the list. According to recent reports, many Apex Legends players say they are getting a new error called code: snake.

In case you are unaware, code: snake results in a temporary ban. What’s weird is that many are getting code: snake and are being kicked out of the game.

The ban can either last from a few mins to a few days and indicates that the player is using hacks to gain unfair advantage.

Players say they are falsely accused of hacking with some not being able to log in to the game after they get the error. Some are also getting an email from EA with no evidence of cheating whatsoever.

You can see in the image below how it looks like for those who are getting the error.

My game was running fine for a while today, until recently when I started lagging really bad. Everything runs fine until i join a game, and then it is unplayable in game. I’ve tried just about everything to fix the issue. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? I also received a code: snake?

Players are wondering why they are getting banned with no proof whatsoever. If you are in the same boat, you can try contacting EA and tell them you are falsely banned.

Fortunately, it looks like Respawn Entertainment is aware of the issue with the developers saying that it is currently under investigation.

We hope the developers find out the root cause of the code: snake error so Apex Legends players can peacefully play the game without having to think about getting falsely banned.
