Dying Light 2 Waltz health bar stays on screen or attacks after being defeated, issue acknowledged

Dying Light 2 is one of the best open-world RPG games developed by and published by Techland. The title was released in February this year, it was praised by both players and critics for combat and gameplay mechanics.

However, several technical glitches such as players unable to interact with doors or other NPCs and rest unavailable even in safe zone have negatively impacted the overall experience for many.

And as it turns out, Dying Light 2 players are facing another issue where Waltz randomly attacks after being defeated or his health bar stays stuck on the screen (1,2,3,4,5).

Many thought it was a temporary glitch but Waltz’s health bar stays on screen and does not go away. Players are irritated and say the health bar is stuck on their screen for almost a month now.

Others claim that he is attacking them even after getting defeated. It looks like the issue persists even after restarting the system and reinstalling the game.

Randomly Attacked by bugged Waltz. For a while, I’ve been having the bug where Waltz’s health bar is stuck at the top of my hud after beating the game. Just now while I was completing a GRE Anomaly Waltz randomly popped out of thin air and started attacking me. When I hit him health bar that was glitched at the top actually goes down. I haven’t killed the bugged Waltz yet, I’ll give an update and a screen shot soon after I do.

Fortunately, Dying Light 2 developers (Techland) have acknowledged the issue where Waltz randomly starts attacking after being defeated or his health bar is stuck on the screen.

It looks like the bug is currently under investigation but there is no fix in sight.

Moreover, we came across a workaround that might help fix the issue with the stuck health bar. It requires players to join a lobby that’s not having the bug.
