Dying Light 2 lockpick issue where players can't force-open locks & Deserter side quest bug trouble players

The Dying Light 2 development team has recently been rolling out a set of patches to mitigate many glitches and issues that players have encountered since its release.

However, it seems that there is a lot of work ahead as new problems continue to emerge. Now some players are facing issues with lockpicks and in the Deserter side quest.

Some Dying Light 2 players are currently unable to force locks. Also the Deserter side quest bug makes players get stuck in an infinite dialogue loop.

Dying Light 2 allows you to improve certain abilities of the characters to unlock additional possibilities that will help to survive the many dangers of the world.

For instance, players can upgrade skills with lockpicks. This allows them to be able to force-open some locks that were previously inaccessible (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13).

This opens up new possibilities by being able to access new areas or rooms. However, some players cannot force-open locks with their improved lockpicks abilities according to multiple reports.

Can’t force medium locks?

I have upgraded the lock picks to the point where they should be able to force open medium locks. It doesn’t give me the option to whenever I go up to a medium lock though. It lets me force easy locks only. I have definitely upgraded them enough to be able to do medium. I even sold all my old lock picks that don’t say that they can force open mediums. Anyone else have this problem?

There is a potential workaround that could help if you are facing the bug and it consists of simply dropping one of your valuables, then trying again to force the lock.

In Dying Light 2 Deserter side quest, players have to find Meyer. However, a glitch causes the character to not appear in the area where she should.

Accepted the quest “The Deserter” and supposed to ask Meyer about it, but she isnt anywhere to be found around the quest marker, and she isnt anywhere on the ship, doesnt matter if its day or night…

In other cases, Meyer does appear, but when talking to her the player gets stuck in a loop of infinite dialogues (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7).

On the mission welcome on board when you have to talk with Meyer about the tower her dialouge keeps repeating infinite times so idk what to do bc I’m pretty much soft locked and I have tried restarting my game and stuff but yea thanks for the help if u can.
