The new Doogee S89 and S89 Pro are set to be launched today, i.e. August 22, and will be available through AliExpress and the company’s own Doogeemall.

These two new smartphones come with massive 12,000 mAh batteries and are also the world’s first rugged phones to ship with 65W fast chargers to top up the massive batteries quickly.

A majority of smartphone users have settled with getting a day or a day and a half’s worth of battery life from their devices.

However, with these battery behemoths, users can expect up to three or five days of battery life on a single charge. This is great for adventurous people since they won’t have to bother about their devices running out of juice.

But that’s not all. Doogee also claims that the S89 series will last 16 hours during gaming sessions and a whopping 18 hours while streaming.

Luckily, along with the massive battery, Doogee has also packed in support for 65W fast charging. This is way faster than the standard charging speeds we would see just a couple of years ago.

According to the company, the 65W charger provided in the box will charge the device’s 12,000 mAh battery in under 2 hours.

So that means you’ll get several days’ worth of usage with just a couple of hours of charging time. Sweet indeed!

That said, the S89 series from Doogee isn’t just about big batteries and fast charging. The two phones also come equipped with unique RGB lights on the back with a “breathing light” effect.

Unlike the Nothing Phone (1) which has only a few customization options for the lights on the back, Doogee offers more granular controls for how the lights work and look.

Users can tweak just about every aspect such as the light colors, patterns, and speed. The lighting effects can also be assigned to phone functions such as incoming calls, and notifications or can be synchronized to music.

While these were the two main aspects of the S89 series from Doogee that differentiate them from every other run-of-the-mill smartphone, there’s more to these phones.

Both phones share a tri-camera setup on the back and are powered by the MediaTek Helio P90 chipset coupled with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB ROM.

They also come equipped with NFC support, Android 12 out of the box, IP68, IP69K ratings, MIL-STD-810H certification, a custom button, reverse charging, and a few other nifty features.

As for availability, the Doogee S89 series will go on sale through AliExpress and Doogeemall today. Both models will be available at a discounted launch price for a limited time.

More specifically, the offer will run from August 22 to August 26 and early buyers will get a discount of 50% on the two phones.

This means that the higher-end S89 Pro will be priced at $229.99 instead of its original price of $459.98. The standard S89 will be priced at $199.99, lowered from $399.98.

That’s not all though. The first 200 people who buy the phones will also get an additional $10 coupon. These offers will expire after August 26 and the devices will then be available at their standard prices.

Last but not least, the giveaway winners will also be announced. So get ready and cross your fingers!
