[Updated] Discord users demand ability to switch accounts (account switcher) on mobile app

Discord is a popular social media platform that offers unique and useful features, like built-in integrations with other apps, the integration of bots on one’s personal server, and much more.

But some feel that the platform’s app clients lack in some places. Users are of the view that Discord should introduce the ability to switch accounts on all its app clients, like its competitors have done.

Some of the well-known social media platforms like Tumblr, Snapchat, Instagram, and more allow users to quickly switch between their professional and personal accounts.

This allows users to efficiently manage their work and personal matters.

A couple of months ago, Discord released ‘account switcher’ feature for Windows users and now others on the mobile version are demanding the same.

Multiple Discord users (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) have taken to social media to express their views. Currently, they have to sign out of the first account and log in to the other one.

This is frustrating for some, as they have to re-login every time in order to switch between their primary or secondary accounts.

A user on Twitter also says that they cannot access two accounts since both require mobile verification yet whenever they verify one account, they get locked out of the other.

Can you pls add that you can have multiple accounts in your mobile and you switch between them? Cus I’m rlly tired of logging in and off always just to use another acc

A rumor about the feature’s release on the mobile version of the app circulated recently, but unfortunately, it hasn’t materialized yet.

The Discord support team on Twitter claims this is a very popular request and has asked users to share their feedback for consideration.

We hope that Discord will soon roll out the account-switching functionality on its mobile app and make it easy for users to manage multiple accounts efficiently.

That said, we’ll keep an eye on this matter and update this story to reflect noteworthy information.
