DirecTV Bally Sports audio sync issue (sound delay) reported by some, issue acknowledged

If you are looking for an affordable and dependable way to watch your favorite movies and TV shows, DirecTV is a wonderful option.

It is also utilized by various sports fans and aficionados to watch their favorite leagues, such as Major League Baseball (MLB), the National Basketball Association (NBA), the National Hockey League (NHL), and much more.

However, like any other streaming platform, DirecTV is also not immune to various bugs and issues.

According to reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9), multiple DirecTV subscribers are facing an issue with the audio sync on the Bally Sports channel.

Allegations suggest that there is a noticeable delay between sound and video broadcasts on multiple channels. And this, without a doubt, has got several sports enthusiasts irritated.

People are experiencing this issue on Bally Sports Detroit, Bally Sports Southwest, Bally Sports North, ESPN 2, and ESPN News channels.

Users allege that there is an audio delay of about two seconds and that the video quality is poor. One of those impacted has even taken a jibe and remarked that the video broadcast appears like it has been hosted on AOL.

Another subscriber complains that the Bally Sports feed for the Brewers has been horrible for the last two days. They have also mentioned that the audio is delayed significantly and that the video is grainy at times.

@BallySportsDET has been lagging and out of sync on directv, anyone else having this issue? Audio and video don’t seem to be quite in sync; was like this during yesterday’s game also.

@DIRECTV My audio on Ballys Sports Detroit, is off. It’s not off on the Bally Sports app but the TV is off.

It’s noteworthy that the issue has been persistent for the past few days and affects customers solely on the DirecTV platform.

Notably, one can watch different sports events on the Bally Sports app without any problems.

Fortunately, this issue has been acknowledged by the DirecTV support team, and they are currently working together with the broadcaster to fix it.

That said, we do hope that DirecTV resolves this issue soon so that viewers can once again enjoy watching their favorite sports matches without any hiccups.
