In Diablo IV, dungeons serve as enemy strongholds, packed with formidable foes, challenging encounters, and valuable rewards.

Players venture into these treacherous domains in search of experience, loot, and items to sell for gold.

The option to reset dungeons is a key feature that allows players to face the adversaries anew, creating a cycle of repeated farming for even better rewards.

Diablo IV Reset Dungeon button not working or bugged

Over the past few days, numerous Diablo IV players have taken to forums and social media platforms to voice their frustrations about the ‘Reset Dungeon’ button not working or bugged (1,2,3,4,5,6,7).

When players attempt to use the button, a error message is displayed: ‘One or more party members are in a dungeon. All party members must be outside the dungeon before you can reset all dungeons’.

This confusing prompt has left players puzzled and unable to reset their dungeons as intended.

The inability to reset dungeons hampers players’ progress and disrupts their farming routines. Without being able to reset dungeons, players cannot efficiently grind for experience points, gold, and coveted legendary gear.

Furthermore, this glitch undermines the immersive experience that Diablo IV strives to provide, leaving players frustrated and disheartened.

@PezRadar@Diablo@JPiepiora is it a known issue to not be able to reset dungeons despite playing solo? Get the error message that a party member is in a dungeon when playing alone, even if i properly use the leave dungeon feature and return to town. Resetting doesn’t fix it.

Potential workaround

While the official fix from the developers is pending, some players have discovered temporary workarounds to bypass the glitch. First one involves restarting the client and bnet:

Second one involves not leaving the dungeon to a major town and following these instructions instead:

Don’t leave the dungeon to a major town, first leave the dungeon via your hot wheel or running to the entrance, once outside, you can then leave to the town of your choosing. Once done, go back through the portal and reset outside of the dungeon.

And lastly, changing world tier also seems to be a fix for this issue.

That said, Diablo IV’s ‘Reset Dungeon’ button issue has undoubtedly been a source of frustration for players eagerly exploring the dark and dangerous world of Sanctuary.

But we hope it will be patched soon so players can get the thrill of farming dungeons for XP, gold, and legendary gear back.
