Diablo 4 is a highly anticipated action role-playing game from Blizzard Entertainment. It has been a major hit among players worldwide.

One of the game’s key features is the Renown system. It allows players to earn recognition for their achievements and progress.

Renown is a progression system in Diablo 4 that measures a player’s progress and accomplishments in the game.

Players are rewarded Renown for completing various activities, including defeating powerful enemies, finishing quests, and exploring new regions.

Diablo 4 ‘Renown’ not carrying over to season 1

Having said that, Blizzard has released Season 1 of Diablo 4 with some significant changes. It also includes Hotfix 1.1.0b to address some issues.

However, some Diablo 4 players are reporting (1, 2) that their Renown rewards are not carrying over to Season 1. It’s worth noting that not all Renown is lost.

This means that some of the recognition players have gained during their adventures did not translate into the new season as they had anticipated.

So I first made a new character for season 1 hardcore, played for a few minutes then realized I didn’t get renown rewards. I logged out to log in with my character with renown. After logging back into game with my seasonal, I still didn’t receive the rewards. Was there a deadline to do this? I did it all on season 1 release. (Source)

This will update your new character’s renown progress: Altars or Lilith, waypoints, and discovered areas of the map. If you just roll a new seasonal character without logging into your eternal realm character with all the progress, you will not gain any of it. Thank you. (Source)

Here’s how to do it

Reports from some players have revealed (1, 2, 3) why Renown might not carry over entirely. It appears that for Renown to transfer to Season 1, the character must have completed the main quest on the eternal realm.

According to user reports, the Renown earned from completing activities at the Altars of Lilith and exploring regions within the game world only carry over to Season 1.

We hope that the game’s developers acknowledge this situation and fix it since players are losing most of their previously earned Renown rewards.

That said, we will make sure to update this article accordingly.
