Destiny 2 is a solid first-person shooter that has been commended for its outstanding gunplay, intriguing plot, and challenging gameplay.

Bungie recently launched the Solstice limited-time event celebrating the summer solstice and Guardian achievements.

Players can complete these series of challenges to earn some of the best in-game rewards, including new armor sets, cosmetics, and weapons. However, it looks like a new issue is spoiling gamers’ fun.

Destiny 2 ‘Solstice quests’ not progressing

Multiple Destiny 2 players (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) are facing difficulties in progressing and completing the Solstice quests.

Allegations suggest that gamers are unable to apply kindling to the second character’s armor, which is already at level 1, which locks progression for the quest.

Additionally, the pop-up message for kindling the armor appears constantly, making the game impossible to play. And to make matters worse, one cannot get rid of this irritating prompt even by abandoning the quest.

Players also claim that a single character upgrade exhausts all the available kindling slots, leaving no room for further upgrades on other characters.

Surprisingly, acquiring more kindling to upgrade gear to tier 2 or 3 on the new character also does not allow one to proceed ahead in the game.

I cant apply kindling to a new characters armor because its already level 1 which locks progression for the quest. The pop up for kindling the armor also never goes away which makes the game kind of unplayable.

A frustrated gamer says that even after rekindling and imbuing all of the solstice armor, the ‘A Glowing Solstice’ quest remains stuck on the step instructing them to add maximum kindling to the sunlit armor.

Another asserts that they are stuck on the same quest even after imbuing the Embers twice, logging out, and rebooting their system.

I’ve imbued twice, logged out, turned my system off and on. It’s still there, very annoying.

Official acknowledgment

Fortunately, Bungie is aware of this problem and is currently working on a resolution. However, no official ETA for the bug has been provided.

We do hope that Bungie will fix this bug as soon as possible.

Having said that, we will keep monitoring this issue and let you know if we come across any useful information.

Update 1 (July 26, 2023)

04:37 pm (IST): According to the recent acknowledgment of Bungie, the latest patch didn’t fix the Solstice quest bug.

We are actively investigating a fix for a new issue that has been discovered further along the Solstice quest chain after today’s fix went out. This issue has kept the Kindling popup active and further blocks quest progress when rekindling all armor on one character. (Source)
