New updates are being added to the bottom of the story…

Original story (from July 10) follows:

Developed by Bungie, Destiny 2 is one of the biggest online multiplayer shooting games with thousands of daily active players. The game originally came out as a pay-to-play game, but later the studio decided to make it free.

Having said that, It is regularly updated with new content and events. Currently, the annual event of Solstice of Heroes is taking place which usually lasts for a few weeks.

The Destiny 2 Solstice of Heroes event is famous for its grind, during which you can upgrade your armor to a “Majestic” and eventually to a “Magnificient” armor set.

Destiny-2

For the last four years, gamers have been grinding the event so they can show off their shiny new armor. To finish it, you have to complete certain objectives that will help you level up your armor.

But this year, it looks like things did not go according to plan at Bungie. Many players have reported that after upgrading their Solstice armor to magnificent, the armor power is reset to 1100.

This is the same armor power players have when they start the event. Many Destiny 2 players were left confused and felt angry because their armor level was reset after they maxed it out.

So I finished the objectives for the majestic solstice armour, to magnificent, and the power level went from 1310 to 1100, and I don’t know if this is a bug or I just made a mistake.(Source)

After the Destiny 2 Solstice Armor issue went rampant, Bungie clarified that it was indeed a bug and is currently under investigation.

In the meantime, Bungie also said that players should not masterwork their Solstice Armor until its fully upgraded; otherwise, its masterworked status will be lost.

The game studio hasn’t said anything about when the issue will be fixed and if the players will be compensated for the bug.

We hope Bungie fixes the issue soon since the event will last a few weeks, and all players get their power and energy level back.
