Destiny 2 'Pyrogale Exotic Gauntlet' disabled due to a bug, leaves players confused

Destiny 2 players are currently grappling with issues in the game after Bungie unexpectedly disabled the ‘Pyrogale Exotic Gauntlet’ without prior notice.

Destiny 2 features various classes, each with a unique set of equipment and gear. For the Titan class, the newly added exotic equipment is the Pyrogale Gauntlets.

Players can obtain these gauntlets by completing solo runs of Legend or Master Lost Sectors, although they have a very low drop rate.

However, players who managed to obtain the equipment despite the odds are now left disappointed (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) as Bungie has suddenly disabled the gauntlets.

Loyal fans of the Titan class, in particular, are disappointed, feeling that Bungie has been unfairly treating their class. They feel that Titans have been denied access to valuable equipment in the past too.

Regarding the official acknowledgment of why the Pyrogale Exotic Gauntlet was disabled, Bungie’s official support shared a statement on Twitter:

Due to an issue, we have disabled the Pyrogale Exotic Gauntlets in all activities. This item is expected to be re-enabled on September 19. (Source)

While Bungie provided an acknowledgment, they did not specify why the gauntlets were disabled or the nature of the issue. However, the community speculates that it may be related to a mote glitch.

Recently, players have reported that when using the gauntlets, they cannot pick up motes after defeating enemies.

I’ve noticed after doing a consecration slam that I can sometimes no longer pick up motes until I bank. Running over newly created motes no longer works. Anyone else noticed this bug? I think it’s related to these Gauntlets because I don’t see this issue without them equipped. (Source)
