New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on August 23, 2023) follows:

Destiny 2 players are facing a set of issues of which one is the bugged ‘Mission: Invoke’ during the initial set of missions in the Bladed Path campaign.

The other issue is where some players are not receiving the emblem rewards for pre-orders and Twitch Drops.

Mission: Invoke bugged in Destiny 2: Season of the Witch

In the game Destiny 2: Season of the Witch, player reports indicate a problem with one of the campaign missions named ‘The Bladed Path.’

Players have noticed that the quest titled ‘Invoke’ within this mission is not functioning properly.

Love that your season quest first step is bugged, Mission: Invoke and it isn’t showing up so I can’t complete the damn mission or quest. Awesome season starter. (Source)

The new season, called Season of the Witch, introduces a fresh campaign along with weekly quests collectively named ‘The Bladed Path.’

To access these quests, players must first complete an introductory questline called ‘Toil and Trouble.’

Once this is done, the first set of quests for Week 1 of ‘The Bladed Path’ becomes available.

Regrettably, several players (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) have reported that they are unable to access the initial quest/mission of this week’s set, “Mission: Invoke.”

Responding to the mounting complaints, developers at Bungie released an official statement:

We’re investigating an issue where players are unable to replay Mission: Invoke if they played through it before acquiring the seasonal quest. Players are encouraged to not play this mission until they acquire the “Bladed Path” quest. More info. will be shared when available. (Source)

Bungie recommends that players refrain from launching the mission until they have acquired the ‘Bladed Path’ quest.

This implies that these missions cannot be accessed until players have completed the introductory quests such as ‘Toil and Trouble.’

Twitch Drop, Competitive Division emblem and pre-order emblem rewards missing

The rewards associated with pre-ordering the upcoming expansion ‘The Final Shape’. Which is set to release on February 27, 2024, are not being granted to players as expected.

These rewards include an in-game emblem. However, based on new reports (1, 2, 3, 4, 5), many players are not seeing these rewards appear in their collections.

Furthermore, there are complaints about the special Twitch Drop emblem that commemorates the Destiny 2 Showcase.

Despite linking their Twitch account to Bungie, claiming (1, 2) the emblem on Twitch, and even resetting their console, some players are not seeing the emblem as intended.

I watched the stream, linked my twitch account to bungie, claimed the emblem on twitch and reset my console but the emblem isn’t showing for me. (Source)

Aside from that the ‘Competetive Division emblem’ for the Season of the Witch is also reportedly missing.

But, fortunately, Bungie has officially acknowledged the issue and promised a resolution:

We’re investigating an issue with the missing Competitive Division emblem for Season of the Witch. We’ll follow up with an update once we have more information to share. (Source)

We’ll keep track of the situation and post an update if and when there are any further developments on the matter.

Update 1 (August 24, 2023)
