[Updated] Dead by Daylight Mobile Facebook login not working issue acknowledged, fix in the works

Dead by Daylight is an asymmetric online multiplayer game that was released in 2016. Based on Unreal Engine 4, it is developed and published by Behaviour Interactive.

Each match has five players in total, with one of them assuming the role of a savage killer. The other four players are to run from the killer and fix generators to get out of the place.

In 2019, the developers released the game on iOS and Android for free to attract more players. And within one year of its release, the mobile version had surpassed 10 million downloads.

That being said, Dead by Daylight Mobile players are now reporting (1,2,3,4,5) that they are unable to login to the game using Facebook. It looks like the bug is preventing them from playing the game.

Many say they tried generic solutions such as uninstalling and reinstalling the game, clearing app cache and restarting their device but nothing seems to help right now.

You can see in the image below the error players are getting when trying to login to Dead by Daylight using Facebook credentials.

I can’t log in to the game due to the fb login problem, but I charged money in the crow’s treasure, it still has half a month. If you can’t fix it today, I’ll lose the crow treasure. How are you going to compensate?

Thankfully, Dead by Daylight Mobile developers have commented on the matter and said that they are currently investigating the issue where players are unable to login using Facebook.

We are currently experiencing issues with Facebook Login, resulting in an error message when logging in using a Facebook account. Thank you for your reports – we are investigating this right now and will keep you updated as we have more information.

But it looks like the Facebook outage has angered a bunch of players since they will be unable to claim certain rewards.

As it turns out, the developers have extended the claim period so those affected can claim their rewards. However, they did not share any ETA on when the problem will be resolved.

Not to worry, it’s just because not everyone can login and play everyday, so we wanted to give a big timeframe to claim it. We are working on a fix on high priority.

03:32 pm (IST): Day by Daylight support on Twitter confirmed that the issue with Facebook login has been resolved and players can now use their Facebook accounts to log in.
