Paradox Development Studio recently released the v1.9.0.4 ‘Lance’ update that resolves some of the previously reported issues.

For instance, the patch fixes the bugs where players were unable to plan activities after cancelling the travel plans for ‘Petition Liege’ and ‘Pay Homage’ decisions or start tournaments.

The update also addressed the glitch where alliances formed through Diplomacy Intent in Grand Weddings got null and void the next day. However, it appears that some of the problems still remain unresolved.

According to reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10), multiple Crusader Kings III players are experiencing frequent crashes even after installing the latest v1.9.0.4 patch.

The issue has been persistent for quite some time and affects players across multiple platforms.

Users are disappointed as they still cannot enjoy playing the game without any occasional hiccups despite the release of numerous updates and DLCs.

Some are allegedly experiencing more frequent crashes after installing the recent patch. And as per their claims, most of these crashes occur while playing the game in multiplayer mode.

A player complains that after installing the latest update they cannot even play the game continuously for an hour.

Another gamer alleges that they are unable to launch the game on Linux after installing the Tours & Tournaments DLC along with the patch.

I have played this game since released and I feel with every patch the game crash more and more often a can’t play anymore.

Some even mention that the patches released by the developers end up introducing more bugs and issues than they could resolve.

Some have tried common troubleshooting steps like verifying the game files, uninstalling and reinstalling it, and updating drivers but to no avail.

Gamers are now requesting the developers to resolve this persistent issue as soon as possible.

Developers recommend that gamers should disable any third-party mods or start with a new save file.

Having said that, we are hopeful that Paradox Development Studio will resolve the crashing issues in Crusader Kings III soon. In the meantime, we’ll keep on monitoring this topic and update this story as events unfold.

04:47 pm (IST): Some players are now reporting (1, 2, 3, 4) that the game is crashing for them after the recent Quill update.

And while there’s no official word on the matter yet, those affected are being asked to submit a bug report.
