COD Warzone & Modern Warfare 2 players outraged with removal of NICKMERCS operator bundle over alleged 'anti-LGBTQ+ tweet'

If you are a COD fan, you might be aware of NICKMERCS. Also known as Nick Kolcheff, NICKMERCS is a popular figure in the gaming community, particularly in the world of Call of Duty.

With a strong presence on platforms like Twitch and YouTube, NICKMERCS has gathered a massive following of fans who admire his skills, entertaining personality, and engaging content.

However, a controversy has hit Call of Duty (COD) Warzone and Modern Warfare 2 community after NICKMERCS responded to a tweet showcasing anti-LGBTQ+ protesters reportedly attacking pro-LGBTQ+ demonstrators.

Shortly after this controversial tweet, Activision, the publisher of the COD franchise, made the decision to remove the NICKMERCS operator bundle from both the Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone in-game stores.

The operator bundle includes a unique character skin and other cosmetic items associated with NICKMERCS. Removing the bundle means new players can no longer purchase it, but those who already own it can still use it.

Moreover, this move has affected Activision’s stock as the share price appears to be going down. Several gamers are demanding Activision to bring back the operator bundle to the game.
