[Updated] COD: Warzone KG M40, Volkssturmgewehr, AS44, & NZ-41 weapons not gaining XP, issue acknowledged (workaround inside)

COD: Warzone, the battle royale game set in the COD universe, offers multiple weapons for players to choose from.

Warzone weapons level up the more you use them. You can earn XP points for each weapon with each victory and kill you achieve.

However, currently many players are facing issues when trying to level up certain weapons. According to multiple reports (1, 2), COD: Warzone KG M40, Volkssturmgewehr, AS44 and NZ-41 weapons are not gaining XP.

Apparently, multiple COD: Warzone weapons are not earning XP during matches. Therefore, players are unable to level up those weapons.

The weapons that are not receiving XP points are as follows:

KG M40 is a very popular assault rifle due to the great damage it inflicts on the enemy with each shot. It’s also one of the heaviest assault rifles, so players who prefer high mobility avoid it.

Warzone KG M40 not gaining xp

My KG M40 had been stuck at level 33 with 1818 xp and is not gainin any more xp no matter what I’ve done, I’ve done contracts specifically all game with not only my own kg load out but with a kg I’ve picked up off the ground. I’ve used strictly my load out and gotten kills and wins with it and still nothing.

NZ-41 is another assault rifle that performs particularly well in close-range combat scenarios. So, if you like to get close to your enemies, this may be your ideal weapon.

Some gun’s level progression are not working.

I have the Gorenko, NZ-41 and other one stucked on the same level and XP amount. I’ve only try on Caldera Clash, but since that’s the best game mode to actually level up guns, it’s kind of sad that some guns are bugged and stucked on the level/XP amount.

The AS44 is a very light assault rifle. So, it is especially popular with fans of high mobility.

AS44 is unlevelable for me in Warzone.

I’m trying to level this gun because I’m stuck with underpowered MW weapons, but the XP count never goes past 0…

The Volkssturmgewehr is an assault rifle that combines lightness and mobility with good range and high damage.

My weapon is stuck at level 16

As the title says my Volkssturmgewehr is stuck at level 16 and no matter how much weapon xp i gain it doesnt level up. Any idea what I can do to fix that?

According to reports, the problem mainly occurs when playing the COD: Warzone Caldera Clash mode.

No weapon xp in caldera clash

Have played about 4 games of caldera clash and no weapon xp was given, I finished out the games until the end menu too.

Anyone else having this problem or have a fix?

Edit: All my vanguard assault rifles aren’t leveling up.

Raven Software is already aware of the issue and is investigating. But, there are no details yet on an ETA for a fix.

❗️ We’re investigating an issue that is causing some Players to not accrue Weapon XP on four Weapons:

-KG M40 (VG)
-Volkssturmgewehr (VG)
-AS44 (VG)
-NZ-41 (VG)

However, there is a potential workaround that reportedly helps mitigate the issue. Apparently, returning to the Home Screen, completely closing the game, accessing and re-logging in serves as a temporary fix.

I’m on Xbox. I go to Home Screen, QUIT the game, log in and it’s all fixed.
