COD Vanguard weapon or gun leveling buff (reduce time) much-needed, players demand devs to make adjustments

Developed by Sledgehammer Games, COD Vanguard is one of the most popular FPS available. You can play it on multiple platforms and consoles (current and previous generation).

Similar to previous installations of the COD franchise, the online mode is one of its main attractions. A good weapon progression and upgrade system is one of the fundamental requirements for a good online mode.

However, it seems that many players are not happy with the current state of the weapon leveling system, as it reportedly feels cumbersome (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8).

According to multiple reports, the leveling system for COD Vanguard weapons is very slow. This causes a poor sense of progress compared to the players’ effort.

It’s worth pointing out that there are shared weapons between the current COD games. For instance, COD Warzone players can use different weapons from COD Vanguard.

In those cases, the issue persists as the leveling system for Vanguard weapons remains slow and cumbersome. So, it seems that the origin of the problem is in the COD Vanguard guns.

I feel like leveling weapons from Vanguard takes forever in Plunder.

Am I doing something wrong? Most of the matches take around 7 minutes and by the end of it, I only did 3-8 contracts. I probably didn’t get a level on any of my weapons then.

With them removing top secret contracts because they were so good for this, what’s the best method to level up guns? Is it dropping in a hot spot and kiling tons of people or doing contracts with helis still the best one?

The issue can be so severe that the progress system still feels sluggish even using XP points multipliers.

Love how they remove the regular BR playlist from Warzone right as I create my two classes for BR. I only have a select few of Vanguard weapons leveled up and leveling is a pain in the ass without double weapon xp. C’mon.

That said, many COD Vanguard players are asking the game developers for the weapon leveling system to receive a ‘buff’ that allows guns to be upgraded more quickly.

I think everyone agrees by now that leveling weapons on Vanguard takes too long and it’s discouraging casual players from branching out and trying other guns.

There is no official acknowledgment from Sledgehammer Games on this issue. So, it is not yet known if the company will take into account the COD Vanguard players request.
