[Updated] COD Vanguard Barracks menu not accessible after March 10 patch, issue under investigation

COD Vanguard was released in November last year and is the latest game in the decades-old Call of Duty series. The online multiplayer FPS title features a storyline that explores various theatres at the end of World War II.

With a total of 20 maps, both users and critiques have praised the campaign and the multiplayer aspect. But Activision’s decision to opt for Sledgehammer Games over Raven Software seems to have made little difference when it comes to the game’s development.

A few days ago, players complained about ‘Dev error 6144’ in Ranked games and the game crashing, freezing or disconnecting from server during Kill confirmed matches.

And if this isn’t troubling enough, COD Vanguard players are now saying (1,2,3,4,5) that the Barracks menu is not accessible. The issue seems to have surfaced after the recent March 10 update.

Many say they are unable to access the barracks tab because it automatically exits and pushes players back to the main playlist menu. Below are some reports from Vanguard players who say the Barracks tab is not accessible after the March 10 update.

Just wanted to let you guys know that I can no longer access my Barracks on PC. Clicking on it just reverts back to the main playlist menu. Hope this helps

Since you all are clueless and won’t listen to anyone that isn’t verified…. Idk why I’m wasting my time saying this butttt the barracks are broke! You can’t access barracks at all on PS5.

The glitch is preventing players from changing their loadout names or checking other stats like KDA. Some said they tried restarting their game but to no avail.

As it turns out, Sledgehammer Games has acknowledged the issue where barracks are not accessible for Vanguard players and shared that the issue is under investigation.

We are aware that some players cannot access the Barracks menu. This issue is currently under investigation.

They also added the problem to their list of known issues on their Trello board.

We hope the developers soon find what is causing the problem and patch the barracks in a future update since it is one of the most used tab in the game.

12:50 pm (IST): According to the official Trello board of Raven Software, a fix has been scheduled for the Barracks menu issue.
