[Update: Jan. 11] COD: Modern Warfare crashing & getting stuck on load screen after latest update

COD: Modern Warfare is one of the games in the Call of Duty saga that has been receiving updates recently. But, like their brothers, they have brought some bugs that must be fixed.

The latest update for the game is patch 1.50, which rollout started on December 15th. The official changelog indicates the following modifications:

GENERAL FIXES:

Fix for a bug on Hackney Yard that could prevent Minotaur from performing an execution
Fixed bug where some players were unable to obtain a Nuke after obtaining the correct number of kills
Fixes to help the Wheelson path up various terrain
Fixed a bug where the ‘Revive’ prompt while playing Cyber Attack was appearing inconsistently

WEAPONS:

Fennec: Increased damage range
ISO: Increased damage range

But, according to multiple reports, COD: Modern Warfare is crashing and getting stuck after that update. So, it is currently unplayable for many.

One of the problems reported by the most recent update of the game is that it crashes constantly. Apparently, the crashing in COD: Modern Warfare can happen at any time, either in-game or in the menus (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8).

– Game crashes for no reason
– Can only play 1 game before it gives me a mild seizure with “loading assets”
– Games feel empty due to half the lobby timing out
– Christmas game mode bugged on loading screen
– Can’t rotate weapon when looking at camos
– Game crashes when saving custom mod
– Still cant save RAAL mods

Please Raven… just separate Modern Warfare from Warzone. Lets be real, Modern Warfare isn’t even a part of Warzone anymore. PLEASE!!!

In addition to the above, COD: Modern Warfare is also getting stuck. This can happen on the loading screens, or even in the middle of the game (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7).

Same exact thing has been happening to my game since the new update came out earlier today. Has made modern warfare absolutely unplayable. Can’t even close out the application, it locks the PS4 and gets stuck. This is some BS smh

The issue sometimes causes the player to be unable to exit the game, and the only thing they can do is restart the console completely. So, it’s a pretty annoying glitch.
