COD: Modern Warfare 2 crashing during Raid Episode 3 for a section of players (potential workaround)

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 recently received an update that introduces bug fixes to some known issues and weapon balancing.

For instance, the patch addresses the bug that caused players to be incorrectly removed from matches for inactivity and a screen flickering issue that occurred when inspecting Battle Pass Weapon Blueprints.

The recent update also fixed the glitch where unpurchased Store Bundles appeared under the ‘My Weapons’ tab. However, despite the update, some are experiencing issues.

According to reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10), multiple Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 players are experiencing crashing issues while playing Raid Episode 3.

For some, the game crashes after finishing the second part of the valve and the submersible or when they are in the crane section. While for others the crash occurs as soon as a cutscene appears.

Due to this glitch, any intel collected throughout the raid is lost. Some are also unable to complete the Raid Episode 3 due to frequent crashes.

A section of players allege that the game crashes while playing the first and second Raid Episodes as well.

This is undeniably disheartening for all those who struggled for hours to build a good team, but their game crashed in the middle of the raid.

The issue has been persistent for the past few days and affects gamers across multiple platforms. Those affected have taken to web forums to request for a bug fix.

Fortunately, we did come across a potential workaround that might help solve your problem. A Redditor suggests that you delete the special backpack, die in game and don’t get revived.

That said, we are hopeful that Infinity Ward will soon resolve the crashing issues with Raid Episode 3 in Modern Warfare 2.
